District Speech Meet at Wayne Results 3/16

Congratulations to the Speech team on their fourth place team finish at districts in Wayne. The team brought home sixteen medals and four events qualified for state!

• Representing EPS in Kearney next weekend will be district Serious Prose Champion Zoey, Kyndal-3rd place in Persuasive, Gemma-3rd Place in Extemp, and Braedon -3rd Place in Humorous.
• Placing 4th was the OID of Braedon, John, Sophia, Kynlee and Sydney.
• Sydney also placed 4th in Poetry.
• Sophia placed 5th in Humorous. Kyla and Danny placed 5th in Duet. Kierstyn and Kayton placed 6th in Duet. Kyndal placed 6th in Informative.
• The OID of Kayton, Kyla, Danny and Gentry earned a Superior Rating. Congratulations, everyone!

Riverside Speech Meet Results 3/9/2026

• Kyndal placed 5th in Persuasive Speaking.
• Zoey Buechter placed 6th in Serious Prose.
• The OID of Kyla, Kayton, Danny, Kierstyn and Gentry placed 10th. 
• Kyla and Danny's Duet 11th
• Gemma Miller placed 12th in Extemp.
• Earning Superior Ratings on the day were the following:  Kyndal-Informative ; Sophia, Sydney, Kynlee, Braedon and John-OID, Kierstyn and Kayton-Duet, Braedon-Humorous; Sophia-Humorous.
• Sydney received an Excellent Rating in Poetry

Congratulations to the Speech Team on their 5th place Team finish at NVC 3/3

• Sophia brought home top honors as the NVC runner-up in Humorous Prose
• Kyndal Busteed earned two 3rd place medals in Informative and Persuasive Speaking.
• The OID of Kierstyn, Kayton, Kyla, Danny and Gentry placed 4th.
• Zoey placed 4th in Serious Prose.
• The OID of Kynlee, Braedon, John, Sophia and Sydney placed 5th.
• Sydney placed 5th in Poetry.
• Superior Ratings were earned by Danny and Kyla in Duet and Braedon in Humorous.
• Gemma earned an Excellent Rating in Extemp.
• Great Job, kids! Lots of improvement yesterday.

Lutheran High Northeast Meet Results 2/27

• Danny and Kyla placed 6th in Duet.

•  Earning Superior Ratings on the day were the following: OID-Danny, Kyla, Kayton, Kierstyn, Gentry; OID-Sydney, Sophia, Kynlee, Braedon, John; Poetry-Sydney; Humorous-Sophia and Braedon, Informative-Kyndal; Persuasive-Kyndal; Serious-Zoey; Extemp-Gemma. Big meet and  Mya of improvement. 

   

Howells Dodge Speech Meet Results 1/28

• In the JV Division

  • Sydney, Sophia, Kynlee, Braedon and John were OID Champions

  • Sophia placed 5th in Humorous Prose

  • Braedon received a Superior Rating in Humorous Prose

• In the Varsity Division

  •  the OID of Kayton, Kierstyn, Kyla, Danny and Gentry placed 4th in Honors Finals.

  • Kyndal earned Superior Ratings in both Persuasive and Informative

  • Gemma and Kyla earned Superior Ratings in Extemp.
